Parents are kept informed of events, school-wide activities, and new programs at the school through a monthly newsletter. In addition, teachers send home weekly classroom newsletters. Parents are kept informed of their child's progress through progress reports and postings on ParentLink. Conferences are held to review interim assessment data, academic progress, and behavior. Parents can also communicate with teachers and the administration through e-mail linked to the school's website. The website provides parents with information about school events, links to support academic programs, and links to family services throughout the community. Parents serve on the Lummis Site Leadership Team. Parents are very active and involved as over 150 parents have volunteered throughout the school on a regular basis. The Lummis PTA is very active, sponsoring activities such as Pancake Breakfast, Spooktacular, Shamrockin, VIP Day, and Summer Send-Off. The Lummis PTA supports and funds Accelerated Reader and Vmath Live.
