We share responsibility with the community for implementing our school vision and for obtaining and allocating resources to support the vision. Presentations at School Governance, PTA meetings, flyers, brochures, and newsletters provide the community with information on test data, parent conferencing, and a voice in the revision of our mission, school improvement, and action plans. Parents assist with teacher luncheons and appreciation celebrations. The community, through the "Gotcha" incentive program, Student of the Month luncheons, and Perfect Attendance Awards, celebrates student achievements. PTA members, parents, and administration recognize the creative talent of students through Reflection Celebrations program. We communicate with parents concerning instruction through literacy and structured parent-teacher conferences. Parents visit classrooms where teachers model and involve parents in fun learning activities. We stress the importance of not only disseminating information, but also receiving information. We have an open-door policy with our community. If a parent has a concern, our teachers and administration address concerns professionally and promptly.
