Parent communication is vital to student success in school. Derfelt Empowerment School's parents are encouraged to stay involved with their child's education through a variety of school-sponsored activities. Parent-Teacher Meet & Greet, Back to School Night/Open House, and PSTAPT conferences are all designed to inform parents about academic standards and student progress toward meeting the standards. Herbie's Headlines is the bi-weekly newsletter intended to keep parents abreast of all current events and issues at the school. Teachers are accessible through a variety of means: phone, website, ParentLink, and in person for a scheduled academic conference. We believe that frequent, meaningful communication is vital to student success.
