Communication with parents is critical for supporting student learning. ParentLink provides a way for parents to receive grade book and attendance information via the telephone or the computer. ParentLink also provides a way to quickly and effectively get important messages and information to parents by telephone and/or computer. Student progress reports are sent home at four and eight week intervals. At least four newsletters are sent home during the school year highlighting activities, assessment results and calendared events. Informal notes home, frequent informational flyers and even reminders on the school marquee are additional examples of parent communication efforts.
