The teaching staff at Kitty Ward ES communicates on a regular basis regarding student performance and achievement. A weekly communicator is sent home which provides consistent two-way communication for all grade levels. Fourth and fifth grade students utilize daily planners to assist with organization and daily parent contact. Our current phone system provides a means for direct teacher contact through voice mail. ParentLink provides a means for direct parent contact through voice mail and e-mail. School and classroom newsletters are distributed frequently to keep parents updated on school events and units of study. Our school website is another major source of communication. Our school website has our school calendar, our daily schedule, our trimester academies, our upcoming events, and much more posted. Our computer specialist reads and responds to messages and/or questions written by parents or students via our website. A Parent/Teacher/Student Organization (PTSO) has a mailbox located at the school entrance and solicits ideas and input from the parent community.
