Communication
Numa Elementary School focus is on the “whole” student. Interest in our student’s go beyond just the academics but, includes the “whole” child. In our efforts to tackle academic achievement we are looking at other influences outside of the pure academic world that impacts our student’s ability to learn as well. In order to address the whole student we have created a Behavioral Support Team.  The purpose of the Behavioral Support Team (BST) is to ensure that effective interventions, supports, strategies, and evidence-based practices are implemented and sustained in order to improve behavioral outcomes for students. The team will lead the effort for change by developing comprehensive school-wide positive behavior systems that will significantly impact the learning environment and increase the academic success of students. To encourage our students in thinking about the importance of academic growth now for their future we are displaying staff member’s and parent’s college alma mater pennants in our lobby. Numa Elementary School’s intent is to encourage and motivate our students to prepare for the academic rigors needed to prepare for a college education.
