E. C. Best’s 3rd goal is to enhance student education through parent and community involvement. The school has produced a monthly information newsletter, connected with families via anmated phone calling system, and offers 4th-6th grade parents attendanceand grade monitoring on-line through PowerSchool. Staff and parent groupshave participated inmany family and volunteer events such as: Lattin Farm’s with Chili Dinner Night, Christmas Program, Fun Family Carnival, Multi-Cultural Night, Student Talent Show, classroom volunteers & playground assistance through the Campus Angels program. Students have participated in community eventssuch assinging at the Sept. 11 Memorial Service, reading to senior citizens, and hospital visitations.
