Vision: Our vision is to create a high-performance public school program that equips our students with the educational tools of tomorrow, thereby providing them with all the opportunities they need to succeed in life while creating a new model for a 21st century public school. Mission: The mission of the Nevada Virtual Academy is to provide Nevada students with a world-class education grounded in high academic standards, which will help them achieve their full academic potential and become productive members of society. The core philosophy of the Nevada Virtual Academy is that all young people can achieve academic excellence if they receive rigorous instruction, high standards, informed guidance, and individual attention. NVVA offers a dynamic, flexible, and traditional curriculum that teaches children to be critical thinkers in a fast-changing global world. |

Nevada Virtual Academy (NVVA) offers a public education for grades K-12. NVVA is pleased to provide a list of accomplishments that will highlight school and student achievement.- NVVA received accreditation status from the Northwest Accreditation Commission.
- NVVA's enrollment doubled from the previous school year (09-10.)
- All NVVA teachers hold Nevada licenses and were deemed Highly Qualified under the NCLB Act.
- Several students received recognition for achievements, including the State Geography Bee and Regional Spelling Bee.
- NVVA provided students with a SCANTRON Performance Series Assessment which measures growth in Math and Reading Skills.
- NVVA held it's first NJH Induction Ceremony.
- A NVVA Middle School Cohort was established.
- NVVA provides National and Local Clubs for students which are well attended.
- This year NVVA has the National Advanced Learners Program through K12 which involves approximately fifty students.

Goals and Objectives |
Goal 1 Provide the tools to ensure High School students are meeting graduation standards.
Objective(s): SI is provided to HS students to improve pass-rate on HSPE; teachers provide office hours enabling students to contact with questions and concerns; Counselor provides academic plan to HS students and targets students w/failing grades for academic success groups.
Goal 2 Students in grades 4 through 8 will increase student achievement in math.
Objective(s): Scantron Achievement Series is provided to all 4–8 graders to increase math achievement; teachers provide weekly instruction, open office hrs., remediation classes, small group instruction; additional teacher training is provided for effective tracking and evaluation.
Goal 3 Students in grades K-3 will increase student achievement in reading.
Objective(s): Teachers give instruction based upon DRA2 testing, Alternate Assessment, Diagnostic Testing, and through the use of at-risk tools, provide weekly instruction, SI, IEP goals, parent conferences, skill-level instruction.
