The mission of NSHS is to support our students in a college environment with personal, academic, and social skills. |

NSHS has increased its accountability for student achievement above the state standard by measuring student growth in academic, college readiness, and careerskills.- NSHS received the 2010 US News and World Report Bronze award.
- 100% of NSHS 2010 graduates were ready for college level (non-remedial) courses.
- 100% of NSHS students earned National work certifications through ACT’s Workkeys assessments.
- NSHS has an overall high school graduation rate of over a 98%
- 100% of NSHS Seniors have passed all portions of the proficiency exams prior to the March administration.
- Students earned 13,000 hours of volunteer service and were featured on local news for collecting food for a local school.
- NSHS students are active in many notable organizations such as winning second place overall at the DECA state meeting.
- NSHS has partnered with the Henderson High School Leadership group to help build strong community leaders.
- NSHS partners with the local business community to interview NSHS students and promote positive work skills.

Goals and Objectives |
Goal 1 To improve the academic opportunity for students to learn in a college environment.
Objective(s): 90% of NSHS students will graduate high school 90% of NSHS students will pass the Nevada State High School Proficiency Exams 90% of NSHS students will enroll in a post-secondary program after high school 80% of NSHS students will earn a per student average of 12 credits per college semester
Goal 2 To create an opportunity for successful transition for students from high school to a college environment
Objective(s): 80% NSHS students will complete college progress profile to include an academic plan,choose college/major, complete college academic plan, and taking the SAT/ACT. NSHS will score a minimum of 80% on a social transition questionnaire that includes participation in clubs, activities, and seminars.
