Gerlach HS/MS is an educational establishment dedicated to the preparation of their students for the challenges they will face in the world.- Teachers received professional development on Differentiated Instruction.
- The RTI program was implemented with use of relevant data.
- The Perkins Grant finished the Green House. The community garden provided learning for agriculture classes and FFA.
- FFA and Student Council provided tutoring and instruction to the elementary school.
- 3 students were the top winners for the Voice of Democracy Contest and 4 students received athletic recognition.
- Gifted money provided instructional field trips and a ski trip.
- One student received 4th place in weld cutting at the FFA Convention.
- Teachers began preparation for the NAAS self-evaluation which includes the SIP and the RTI programs.
- • Professional development guided the staff to develop an effective RTI program based on current evaluative data.

Goals and Objectives |
Goal 1 Students will improve writing skills, particularly in the area of grammar, punctuation, and neatness.
Objective(s): Students will increase writing skills, particularly in the areas of conventions as measured by the Terra Nova and 8th grade writing test, and HSPE in Writing.
Goal 2 Students will improve Reading ability by one grade level.
Objective(s): Students will increase Reading level by one grade level as determined by the STAR basic reading.
Goal 3 Students will improve Math skills to include computational ability and math vocabulary.
Objective(s): Students will increase computation and vocabulary skills by one grade level as assessed by the STAR basic math test, Terra Nova and HSPE in Math.
