Reno High School continues its tradition of excellence with students attaining a high level of achievement and success in academics, fine arts, athletics, and activities.- Eleven students were National Merit Finalists, and eight additional students were recognized for Commended Merit.
- Four Reno High School students were selected as Presidential Scholar Candidates.
- The RHS National Society includes more than 260 names of students earning a 3.7 or higher semester GPA.
- RHS Forensics program earned recognition as 1 of 104 Forensics programs to have earned the Leading Chapter Award.
- The Re-Wa-Ne Yearbook received NSPA’s ranking of First Class and CSPA’s ranking of Gold Medal.
- Twenty two students were recognized in one or more categories in the 2009 Scholastic Art Awards Competition.
- RHS Band, Orchestra and Choir received superior ratings at local and regional judged evaluations.
- Four teams were recognized as 4A State Champions: Athletic - Girls Track, Girls Swimming; Academic- Boys Soccer and Spirit.
- 2008 HSPE 1st time pass rates: Math 81%, Reading 91%, Science 85%

Goals and Objectives |
Goal 1 All students will continue to improve their math foundations and reading comprehension in preparation for the HSPE.
Objective(s): Increase pass/success rate on HSPE by 5% in math and identify students in need of reading intervention within the first 3 weeks of the school year.
Goal 2 The number of students being re-classified due to credit deficiency will decrease.
Objective(s): The number of students who are credit deficient will be reduced by 5% at each grade level by fall 2009.
Goal 3 Increase technology access, use and training across all curriculum areas.
Objective(s): The number of fully interactive classrooms will increase by 10% by Spring of 2009.
