We are proud of the many wonderful things that our teachers, counselors and students have accomplished this year. Here are just a few of them:- Instead of letter grades, our quarterly standards-based report cards list standards and how students meet the standards.
- Our comprehensive counseling program is a recognized model program (RAMP) by the American School Counselor Association.
- Our Inclusion Program is unique and supports our special education students so they can be successful in regular classrooms.
- Our special education students score at least double the rate of District special ed students on standardized testing.
- Sixty-seven percent of our English Language Learners achieved English language proficiency.
- Vallarie Larson was named Secondary Social Studies Teacher of the Year by the Northern Nevada Council of the Social Studies.
- Counselors meet with 8th graders and parents to review portfolios, high school goals and career interests inventories.
- Both our 7th and 8th grade Bands received a Superior rating at the WCSD Music Festival.
- Both our 7th and 8th grade Orchestras received a Superior rating at the WCSD Music Festival.
