Coral Academy of Science (CAS) continues to progress towards its goals and objectives with a proven track record of success.- CAS MathCounts team placed 2nd (1st at individual countdown rounds) at the regional and 4th at the state.
- One of our four Lego Teams placed 1st at the Northern Nevada Regional and advanced to the FLL US Open in San Diego.
- Coral Academy Science bowl team placed 3rd at State Level.
- CAS studentsparticipated inthe Spelling Bee and Geography Bee competitions and placed 2nd and 8th respectively in the State.
- CAS students received ‘Best of Show’ and 1st Place awards at the Fair Housing Art Competition.
- CAS competed at the Science Olympiads, Future City, Science Fair, High School First Robotics, and Junior Duck Stamp Contest; received numerous awards.
- The fifth annual MathMatters Competition was hosted by CAS and attracted close to 150 4th and 5th grade mathematicians.
- The Parent Teacher Club and teacherssponsored the Harvest Festival,Children's Festival, dinners and picnicswith a huge turnout.
- CAS continued to hold its accreditation with Northwest Association of Accredited Schools.

Goals and Objectives |
Goal 1
To increase student growth in reading, writing and math based on value added standard testing.
Objective(s):
To increase the number of students meeting their targets as measured by MAP tests by at least 10% in grades 6, 7 and 8.To increase student growth by at least 2 points per grade level as measured in the growth index of MAP tests.
Goal 2
To implement a rigorous and vertically aligned curriculum that meets the needs of the students.
Objective(s):
Introducing core curriculum standards and training teachers on the new standards.Introducing a new ELA curriculum and text for grades 6th through 12th and training teachers for the new curriculum.
Goal 3
To enhance course offerings and programs for high school students.
Objective(s):
Increase core and elective course offerings through online programs.Implement Math, English and Science remediation programs to reduce the achievement gap.Implement four year plans for freshman students to increase graduation rates and reduce the number of credit deficient students.
