Incline MS excelled in many areas during the 08-09 school year. Our focus remained to continue to improve achievement while providing a variety of enrichment opportunities for students and parents.- Our bilingual Parent Involvement Facilitator provided monthly enrichment activities for parents.
- Our counselor, Mary Blount, was selected as the Nevada Middle School Counselor of the Year.
- Our leadership class organized fund-raising activities to support school and community events and activities.
- Our administrators served as chairpersons of the Incline Schools Reflective Task Force Committee.
- Our school wide can food drive raised approximately 1000 food items for Project MANA.
- Our MathCounts team placed 7th at the regional competition.
- Our students demonstrated academic excellence in their classes; 46% achieved honor roll with a 3.5 GPA or higher.
- 52% of our students achieved Citizenship Honor Roll, A’s in citizenship.
- Our band students were accepted into the Honor Band and Jr. Honor Orchestra.

Goals and Objectives |
Goal 1 Reading teachers will use a variety of strategies to increase reading proficiency of all students.
Objective(s): Strategies for improvement will include support classes, Read 180, Accelerated Reader, small group tutoring and content reading activities.
Goal 2 Teachers will focus on writing strategies through differentiated instruction and specialized groups.
Objective(s): Strategies will include content writing activities, a writing class and writer’s workshop.
Goal 3 Math teachers will use a variety of strategies to improve math performance of all students.
Objective(s): Strategies for improvement will include support classes, PLATO, Accelerated Math, small group tutoring and the addition of the Algebraic Foundations curriculum.
