Goals and Objectives
Goal 1
To improve school wide literacy through a greater emphasis on reading, writing, and arguing across all content areas.

Objective(s):
Content area teachers will incorporate reading and writing in lesson plans and engage students in meaningful argumentation. Ninety-percent of our students will be proficient on the Writing Exam.  There will be a three to five percent improvement in Math and Reading scores on the state CRT tests.

Goal 2
To improve the continuum of academic interventions from Tier 1 through Tier 3, with emphasis on monitoring for Tier 1.

Objective(s):
The IAT will monitor progress for all Tier 2 and Tier 3 students and be able to use the data for transitioning students into high school.  There will be a 10% decrease in the number of students who fail to meet the standard in both reading and math for all subgroups within our school population.

Goal 3
To create a safe and productive environment that has a positive effect on students, staff, families, and the community.

Objective(s):
A decrease in the number of students involved in violence or harassment, an increase in Honors Pass recipients, a decrease in bus referrals, an increase in the number of parents who are involved at our school and attend special event nights.
