Mission Statement
Our mission is to create a learning environment where all students can achieve their highest potential in all academic areas, giving special attention to the language arts curriculum standards.  We support learning differences and appreciate diversity, and take seriously the responsibility to offer all students a full range of opportunities to increase their ability to read and write.  We empower students with life skills and ignite curiosity and the love of learning.

Highlights
Bailey Charter opened for its tenth year in a new location, under the guidance of Bailey Charter Foundation, a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization dedicated to the success of Bailey students and families.
  • Intervention, Special Education, and ESL each have their own classroom, demonstrating the value we place on these programs.
  • We have a full-time Intervention Coordinator to insure interventions are provided with classroom support and fidelity.
  • A certified ESL Coordinator to provide consistent academic support to insure the success of our second language students.
  • All instructional staff have been fully trained in GLAD & SIOP, and our PLC time focuses on writing objectives.
  • We collaborate with UNR's Science Practicum program to provide instruction and hands-on experience in Inquiry based Science.
  • PLC teams work to analyze student data, increase differentiated instruction, and develop more efficient methods.
  • We have implemented Positive Behavior Support in order to teach consistent expectations throughout the campus.
  • All strategies are scaffolded these with the CELL/ExLL Model already in place, and are embraced as best practices schoolwide.
  • Bailey Charter Foundation was awarded a 21st Century Learning grant to provide quality programming during out of school time.
