Husberger ES continues to foster independent and capable learners. Using numerous strategies to improve achievement, Hunsberger's students and staff strive for excellence.- Over 80% of students fell into Tier 1 for both reading and math as measured by the CBM benchmarks.
- Students’ academic needs are met through an intervention block to focus on academic skills at different tier levels.
- Weekly RTI meetings to discuss system level needs and student progress in math and reading.
- Implementation of school-wide PBS and weekly meetings held to discuss behavior procedures and strategies for improvement.
- All teachers use Edusoft to scan and analyze benchmark assessment scores to drive classroom instruction.
- 100% of staff use cooperative learning strategies to maximize student engagement.
- 91% of students met or exceeded standards as measured by the CRT science.
- 91% of students met or exceeded standards as measured by the CRT math.
- 88% of students met or exceeded standards as measured by the CRT reading.

Goals and Objectives |
Goal 1 Increase reading proficiency of all students as measured by state CRT’s.
Objective(s): Increase the percentage of students meeting and exceeding the reading standards from 90%-93% for 3rd grade and 90%-91% for 5th graders.
Goal 2 Increase writing proficiency of all students as measured by the State Writing Exam and school wide writing prompt.
Objective(s): Increase writing proficiency of all 5th grade students from 74%-89% with special focus on our students with IEP’s.
Goal 3 Increase math proficiency of all students as measured by the state CRT’s.
Objective(s): Increase the percentage of students meeting and exceeding the math standards from 88%-92 for 3rd graders and 92%-93% for 5th graders.
