The Bud Beasley team is proud of the accomplishments made during the 2008-2009 school year to enhance scholastic achievement, safety, parental involvement, family support, and staff development.- SB185 grant funds allowed for an Instructional Coach who provided professional development and support for teachers.
- 97% of our staff has received the intensive 7 day GLAD training, and those strategies are being implemented in the classroom.
- Literacy/Math Night was held where teachers presented effective strategies for parents to use at home with their children.
- AIMSweb software was used with our 1-6 grade students which allowed teachers to collect data for instructional purposes.
- Our Intervention Action Team met weekly to address student concerns and explore ways to increase student achievement.
- In PLCs, teachers gathered data and used it to plan/implement strategies to meet the needs of all learners.
- Our staff implemented research-based intervention support to targeted students.
- Numerous PTA sponsored events, such as Sock Hop and Game Night, promoted a sense of community among our Beasley families.
