This year LVES has made great improvements by focusing on academic achievement for all students by focusing on the intervention blocks, and increasing positives behaviors through PBS.- Curriculum Based Measures were used to regularly monitor the progress of our students in reading and math.
- Specific interventions/enrichment blocks for literacy and math were implemented in all grade levels.
- The Education Foundation supported after-school literacy tutoring for our at-risk students.
- LVES was awarded an Insturctional Coach, Reading Specialist, Full Day Kindergarten, and a Vice Principal via SB 185 monies.
- Our counselor implemented a peer mediation system titled "Peace Pals" for students to help solve minor playground disputes.
- LVES continues to take part in Teach 4 Success observations in order to guide professional development around best practices.
- LVES was awarded monies from the Van Sickle Found. for technology improvements and ongoing staff professional development.
- Site improvements include a new school sign and updated landscaping around our shade structure/quiet area.
- LVES continues to celebrate student learning and achievements through Achievement Assemblies each quarter.

Goals and Objectives |
Goal 1 Increase student achievement in reading and writing for all students, closing the gaps for our non-proficient students.
Objective(s): The 2007-2008 AYP report shows that 51.29% of all Lemmon Valley students were proficient in ELA, just under the 51.7% target. Lemmon Valley will decrease the number of non-proficient student overall by 10%, as measured by the 08-09 State CRT in reading and the 08-09 State Writing Proficiency Exam.
Goal 2 Increase student achievement in math for all students, closing the gaps for our non-proficient students.
Objective(s): The 2007-2008 AYP report shows that 54.48% of all Lemmon Valley students were proficient in math, just under the 54.6% target. Therefore, Lemmon Valley will decrease the number of non-proficient students overall by 10% as measured by the 08-09 State CRT in math.
Goal 3 Increase positive behaviors school-wide for the 2008-2009 school year.
Objective(s): For the 2008-2009 school year, LVES will report a decrease in overall office discipline referrals compared to the 2007-2008 school year with the implementation of Positive Behavior Support system school-wide.
