Juniper is the center of a learning community. We believe in educating the whole child. Children, staff, families, and our community collaborate to ensure each child receives an excellent education.- Dedicated and hard-working certified and classified staff providing a comprehensive and rigorous education
- Professional Learning Community teacher leadership for continual improvement to ensure student achievement
- Education Alliance and Edujob grants provided funding for salaries, materials, and staff development for tutoring in literacy
- Edujob grant provided funding for three teachers; two intervention specialists, and one classroom teacher
- District funded a full day kindergarten teacher providing a strong foundation for learning
- Students earn awards quarterly for Scholarship, Friendship, Effort, Citizenship and Attendance.
- School events include Joy Choir, Bingo for Books, Math/Science Expo, School Picnic, Academic/Literacy Expo, Field Day, & Talent Show
- Family & Community Partners: Sparks Target, Baring Blvd. 7/11, Tropical Penguin Scuba; Read and Succeed & parent volunteers
- Student Leadership projects include No Bullying campaign, recycling, food and clothing drives, pride wall and spirit week

Goals and Objectives |
Goal 1 Reading: All students demonstrate grade level proficiency in fluency, comprehension, vocabulary, and informational text.
Objective(s): 75% of students in the content area of reading will be proficient (scoring 75% or above) as measured by the WCSD, and state reading diagnostic tests by May 2011. Currently, test results show 68% of 3rd through 6th grade students were proficient on reading CRTs.
Goal 2 Math: All students exhibit grade level proficiency in computation, problem solving, geometry,and measurement.
Objective(s): 85% of students in the content area of math will be proficient (scoring 75% or above), as measured by the WCSD and state diagnostic tests by May 2011. Currently, test results show 79% of 3rd through 6th grade students were proficient on math CRTs.
Goal 3 Writing: All students will be proficient on grade level writing samples and state writing exam.
Objective(s): 75% of all students in writing will demonstrate their skills as defined by traits (voice, conventions, ideas, organization) to the level of 3 or above, as measured by various writing samples, including the state Writing Exam, 2011. Test results show that 47% of 5th grade students are proficient.
