Mission Statement
The Washoe County School District sets out to create an education system where all students achieve academic success, develop personal and civic responsibility, and achieve career and college readiness for the 21st century.
 
Highlights
Greenbrae believes in high expectations for all and promotes the vision that all children can and must learn. With a high quality staff, we strive to meet these commitments for all stakeholders.

  • Interventions include alternate core programs, direct instruction, tutoring, technology, and enrichment programs

Goals and Objectives
Goal 1
Improve student achievement in reading measured by the 2010-2011 Pathway Performance Indicators and Nevada CRT.

Objective(s):
By the end of the 2010-2011 school year, 58% of all third graders and 62% of all fifth graders will meet at or above proficiency levels as measured by the Nevada Reading CRT and at least 70% of all students will meet or exceed the target score as measured by the Nevada Reading CRT.

Goal 2
Improve student achievement in writing measured by the 2010-2011 Pathway Performance Indicators and the state assessment.

Objective(s):
By the end of the 2010-2011 school year, 49% of all fifth grade students will meet at or above proficiency levels as measured by the Nevada Reading CRT and at least 65% of all students will meet or exceed the target score as measured by the Nevada Writing Proficiency Examination.

Goal 3
Improve student achievement in math measured by the 2010-2011 Pathway Performance Indicators and the Nevada CRT scores.

Objective(s):
By the end of the 2010-2011 school year, 57% of all third graders and 54% of all fifth graders will meet at or above proficiency levels as measured by the Nevada Math CRT and at least 70% of all students will meet or exceed the target score as measured by the Nevada Math CRT.
