Mission Statement
The Washoe County School District provides each student the opportunity to achieve his or her potential through a superior education in a safe and challenging environment in order to develop responsible and productive citizens for our diverse and rapidly changing community.
 
Highlights
•      On the state CRTs in reading, 86% of our students met/exceeded the standards.
  • On the state CRTs in math, 86% of our students met/exceeded the standards.
  • With Discover the Mysteries of the World as the theme for reading month, our students read over 385,000 pages.
  • The PFA's fourth annual Denim & Spring fundraiser successfully raised over $55,000.
  • Parent participation rate for Parent/Teacher conferences was 99%.
  • 83% of our fifth graders met/exceeded the standardds on the fifth grade writing exam.
  • We recognized and celebrated different cultures during our multicultural week.
  • Earth Day was celebrated school wide with assemblies for all the grades.
  • Active Boards, paid for by the PFA, will be installed in all the classrooms.
