Seeliger Elementary School exists to provide a safe and positive learning environment in order to promote the most effective education for all students. |

Seeliger Elementary School staff continued to be dedicated to providing the best instructional strategies in a caring environment in order to help our students succeed and achieve. This year:- Teachers analyzed student assessment and achievement data to help students achieve in reading, writing, and mathematics.
- Teachers reviewed and revised the School Improvement Plan. Goals were identified in reading/language arts and math.
- Teachers continued to collaborate on student data and achievement during weekly Professional Learning Communities.
- Staff members and PTO hosted various Family Nights increasing parental communication and participation.
- Students participated in academic camps,tutoring, Yearbook Club, Spelling Bee, Science Fair, band/chorus, Chess, and DARE.
- Student leadership was involved in many school, family, and community related activities.
- Students were recognized for achievement in academics, attendance and positive behavior.
- Teachers took district professional development courses and workshops that focused on High Quality Sheltered Instruction.
- Kid Court was used as a peer-influence behavior reinforcement system utilizing 5th graders as judges.

Goals and Objectives |
Goal 1 Provide time and funding for collaboration and planning, leading to efficient use of professional development.
Objective(s): Meeting agendas and notes will be collected and reviewed. Planning time will be used to discuss individual and group student achievement based on data such as MAP, high-stake test results and IEP objectives. Ideas will be shared among colleagues to increase student achievement and awareness.
Goal 2 Create and implement a consistent school-wide character development plan.
Objective(s): 95% of classroom teachers will utilize the character development plan on a consistent basis measured by observation and implementation by classroom teachers. A decrease in behavior referrals and recidivism will be evident as compared to past data.
