Mission Statement
The mission of Rosemary Clarke Middle School is to provide a secure, challenging, learning environment, which will empower all students to achieve their greatest potential. The Rosemary Clarke Middle School team joins the parents and community to assist students in developing the skills necessary to become successful, responsible, and contributing citizens. One Community, One Goal: Student Achievement.
 
Highlights
Shark PRIDE (Personal Responsibility In Developing Excellence) is the 2010-2011 RCMS motto.Opportunities are available for every student to excel in academics, sports, music, art, and leadership.
  • RCMS offers accelerated math and language arts classes at every grade level.Algebra is offered in 8th grade for high school credit.
  • Every student has access to computers. We offer technology based instruction, as well asinstruction in the use of computers.
  • The SAFE after school program is rated #1 in NV.After tutoring, students participate in a variety of activities.
  • Every student is part of a POD family. POD teachersuse common time to collaborate regarding the needs of students.
  • RCMS athletes can participate in football, basketball, volleyball, track, cheer, dance, and golf.
  • RCMS offers ample leadership opportunities throughStudent Council, Honor Society, Yearbook, & Club activities.
  • CRT & NWEA scores indicate high achievement inmath and reading. Writing scores indicate most meet standards.
  • 2010-11 trips: Science Club - Death Valley; STUCO/HS - San Diego; Music - House of Blues; Washington D.C. (pd. trip).
  • The entire RCMS staff continually participates in professional development; 70% of themhold Masters Degrees or higher.
 
Goals and Objectives
Goal 1
Overall math scores will increase to meet the current annual measurable state objectives.

Objective(s):
A minimum of 66% of students will meet or exceed state standards as measured by the Nevada CRT.

Goal 2
Provide assistance in the areas of math and ELA to special education students.

Objective(s):
The percentage of non-proficient IEP students will decrease by 10% as measured by the Nevada CRT.

Goal 3
The percentage of non-proficient LEP students will decrease by 10% as measured by the Nevada CRT.
