Dayton Intermediate School (DIS) maintained and added remediation programs for all students in 6th through 8th in the areas of reading and math.- Sun Devil After School Tutoring& Saturday Sun Devil Academy provideshelp to students performing below expectations.

Goals and Objectives |
Goal 1
Students will increase achievement in writing content areasfor DIS to meetor exceed proficiency targets.
Objective(s):
Between September 2010 and June 2011, student performance in writing will increase an average of 10% based on 2009-2010 levels, and subgroups performing below target will demonstrate an average of 20% increase based on their 2009-2010 performance to close the achievement gap.
Goal 2
Students will increaseprogressfocusing on IEP/Hispanic/LEP/FRL subgroups for DIS to meet/exceed proficiency targets.
Objective(s):
Student performance in math and language arts will increase 3 to 5 percent based on 2009-2010 CRT levels for subgroups performing at or above target. Subgroups not proficient will meet or exceed their math and language arts growth target with a decrease of student non-proficient on CRT’s.
