It is the mission of Silver Springs Elementary School to encourage our students to be responsible, lifelong learners through a quality education, providing a positive learning environment, and preparing them to be productive citizens in an ever changing society. |

Silver Springs is a rural school that has earned many bragging rights in its 20 years of existence. While our accomplishments are many, we are proud of the current initiatives highlighted here.- Silver Springs Elementary'sprograms are researched based and our school is a data driven decision-making school.
- SSES has made Adequate Yearly Progress every year since the inception of NCLB (2002-2010).
- SSES provides60 minutes of professional development/collaboration weekly, providing instructional coaching in literacy.
- "High Achieving Clusters have been implemented at each grade level to accommodate our High Achieving students.
- “Second Shot” instruction in math and reading is also provided for students performing below benchmark.
- "SSES has a Title 1 Pre-School Program to increase early childhood literacy skills.
- "Achievement conferences anda student data base are used to develop and document interventions to increase achievement.
- "To promote 21st century skills, SSES has"3+ "Computer stations in each classroom and 17 interactive white boards school wide.
- "SESS has been awarded a Fresh Fruits and Vegetables grant for the second year in a row to promote healthy eating habits.

Goals and Objectives |
Goal 1 mso-bidi-font-size: 12.Students, with emphasis on our IEP, White/Caucasian, and FRL subpops will increase their performance in ELA by 2011.
Objective(s): All students will increase their performance in ELA by 10-12%, with IEP students increasing a minimum of 17-20% on District MAP and State CRT tests based on 2009-2010 scores. Students willimprovemso-bidi-font-size: 12.in classroom assessments; monthly LBD Test Scores, quarterly Writing Exams, and quarterly DRA2 tests.
Goal 2 mso-bidi-font-size: 12.Students, with emphasis on our IEP, White/Caucasian, and FRL subpops will increase their performance in Math by 2011.
Objective(s): Students will increase their performance in Math by 10-12%, with IEP students increasing a minimum of 17-20% on District MAP and State CRT tests based on 2009-2010 levels. S"tudents will achieve a minimum of 75% on monthly grade level assessments utilizing district curriculum and Pacing Guides.
