McDermitt Combined Schoolworks hardto keep education the focus on education through a year of change. Students and teachers work hard to make the culture of this school positive and productive.- 11th grade is a Nevada Gear Up Cohort.
- Mentoring program implemented matching high school students with elementary students
- Site was selected to conduct the writing pilot program for the state of Nevada.
- 95% of classrooms have smartboard technology, with 100% anticpated prior to school year 2011-2012.
- Sports teams were highly successful this year.
- Addition of an Ag/mechanic teacher has allowed school to add a broad offering of elective courses.

Goal 1
To show growth in math in junior high school and high school
Objective(s):
100% of McDermitt students tested in the MAP testing system will show improvement
Goal 2
Achieve AYP at the high school level
Objective(s):
85% or better of all seniors will graduate (12/13 seniors will graduate)
Goal 3
Achieve AYP at the junior high school level
Objective(s):
PAC rates of 63.8% or better in ELA and 65.9% or better in math will be achieved on the HSPE
