Winnemucca Grammar School is a family oriented Title I School where teachers and parents work hand in hand for the success of each child. Thank you parents for all you do!- Ninety-nine percent of parents attend parent/teacher conferences.
- Over 60% of parents attend school events such as Open House, Literacy Night, Reading Week, and our Art Show.
- Our Parent Teacher Organization, FROGS, continues to help the school with several fundraisers and sponsored events.
- The 100 Book Challenge in grades K-4 continues to have phenomenal student results with an increased love for reading.
- Students are recognized for outstanding accomplishments in each grade level at monthly “BUG” awards assemblies.
- Teachers continue using data to drive their standards based instruction and student achievement is the focus.
- Professional Learning Communities continue with the focus on data cycles.
- MAPS assessments are given in grades 1-4 three times a year to more effectively pinpoint student needs and monitor growth.
- WGS has four sections of all day kindergarten giving students a better chance to acquire necessary skills for first grade.

Goals and Objectives |
Goal 1 All Winnemucca Grammar School students will make at least one year growth in Math.
Objective(s): All Winnemucca Grammar School students will grow in Math by at least 1.25 years by the Spring 2011 MAP administration.
Goal 2 All Winnemucca Grammar School students will make at least one year growth in ELA.
Objective(s): All Winnemucca Grammar School students will grow in ELA by 1.25 years by the 2011 MAP administration.
