Mission Statement
At Eureka County High School, we are dedicated to teaching every student the skills and attitudes essential for success as life-long learners and as responsible citizens in a free society.
 
Highlights
Eureka County High Schoolhas produced great academic achievement, test scores and graduation success. We are very proud of our new state of the art football stadium and all weather track facility.
  • Eureka County High School had 100% of seniors meeting the requirements for one of three diploma options offered.
  • ECHS met AYP requirements last year with a “High Achieving” distinction.
  • ECHS offers a wide variety of courses for high school students. Last year 45 different core & elective courses were offered
  • Graduates from the Class of 2010 graduated with 220 college credits, including Tech Prep and Dual Credit Courses
  • ECHS has a new Robotic Club, which went to Washington, DC to compete on a national level.
  • During the 2009-10 school year, 61% of students were recognized on the Honor Roll and High Honor Roll all four quarters.
  • Last year, 50% of the student body was recognized for the excellence in Citizenship all four quarters.
  • During the 2009-10 school year 10% of the student body was recognized for Perfect Attendance.
  • 83% of 2010 graduates enrolled in post-secondary education.
 
Goals and Objectives
Goal 1
By 2013-14, all students will attain proficiency or better in reading as required by NCLB and Nevada State Law.

Objective(s):
ECHS students will meet or exceed ELA (Reading) AYP targets (proficiency: 58.0% for middle school, and 82.3% for high school) during SY 2010-11.

Goal 2
By 2013-14, all students will attain proficiency or better in language arts as required by NCLB and Nevada State Law.

Objective(s):
ECHS students will meet or exceed ELA (Writing) AYP targets (proficiency: 58.0% for middle school, and 82.3% for high school) during SY 2010-11.

Goal 3
By 2013-14, all students will attain proficiency or better in mathematics as required by NCLB and Nevada State Law.

Objective(s):
ECHS students will meet or exceed Mathematics AYP targets (proficiency: 54.6% for middle school, and 61.8% for high school) during SY 2010-11.
