Mission Statement
The Esmeralda County School Board, Teachers, Administrators, and Dyer Elementary School Staff believe that every student can learn and achieve. It is the purpose of the school board, teachers, administrators, and staff, with the support of parent/guardians to teach, guide, and assist students toward acquiring skills in academic, occupational, and social areas. We feel these skills are essential for choosing success and making positive contributions to society. Our job is to teach, guide, and assist all individuals with skills and plans for success in learning, working, and living.
 
Highlights
The Fish Lake Valley Community has displayed strong support for its school in Dyer. The school experiences active parental involvement at parental conferences, open houses, and other activities.

Goals and Objectives
Goal 1
Diagnose student areas of deficiency in math and target those areas to increase the passing rate on the CRTs and ITBS.

Objective(s):
Dyer Elementary School will achieve at least a ten percent increase in the passing rate in grades 3-8 CRT test scores. In grades K-2, Dyer Elementary will achieve at least ten percent increase in the passing rate for math on the ITBS tests.

Goal 2
Diagnose areas of deficiency in language arts and target those areas to increase the passing rate on the CRT’s and ITBS

Objective(s):
Dyer Elementary will achieve at least a 10 percent increase in the passing rate for reading and writing in grades 3-8 CRT test scores. In grades K-2, Dyer Elementary will achieve at least a ten percent increase in the passing rate for reading on the ITBS tests.

Goal 3
Diagnose student areas of deficiency in science and target those areas to increase the passing rate on the CRT test.

Objective(s):
Dyer Elementary School will achieve at least a ten percent increase in the passing rate in fifth and eighth grade CRT test scores.
