Mission Statement
In partnership with students, parents, and community, the CVMS staff will educate our children to be successful lifelong learners and productive citizens.
 
Highlights
At CVMS, we focus our attention on solid instructional practices and strive to encourage students to be life-long learners. Additionally,CVMS is committed to using student data to inform instruction.
  • Tutoring available to all students three afternoons per week, transportation provided two of the three afternoons.
  • Co-teach classes in all core subject areas.
  • Two different Math Camp offerings, weekday and weekend.
  • Supervised computer lab and library access during lunches and advisory.
  • Implemented 24/7 math and science remediation and enrichment via the school’s website.
  • Up-to-date access for parents to view student grades using the PowerSchool Parent Portal on the school’s website.
  • Continued emphasis on common assessments in all subject areas with correlation to state standards.
  • Advisory Program opposite block lunch periods.
  • Springboard curriculum in all English classrooms to increase rigor and vertical alignment across the 7th-8th-9th grades.

Goal 1
Increase student math achievement by utilizing data to inform differentiated instructional practices in each class.

Increase math PAC rates by 5% for all students and subpopulations.

Goal 2
Increase student ELA achievement by utilizing data to inform differentiated instructional practices in each class.

Objective(s):
Increase ELA/reading PAC rates by 5% for all students and subpopulations.

Goal 3
Increase 8th grade science achievement by utilizing data to inform differentiated instructional practices.

Objective(s):
Increase science PAC rates by 5% for 8th grade students and subpopulations.
