Juvenile Court Schools is proud to highlight the following accomplishments:- A full-time special education facilitator position continued to serve all areas of the JCS program.
- The JCS summer school program continued to serve one site with five instructors.
- Individualized instruction in reading and mathematics was expanded in all JCS instructional areas.
- Special education and English language learner services were expanded to meet the rising population of those students.
- JCS staff assisted the detention administration in testing all inmates in reading, math, science, and writing proficiency.
- JCS staff focused on compliance with the mandated testing program, as well as the academic achievement of students.

Goals and Objectives |
Goal 1 JCS staff will comply with the mandated testing program, as well as the academic achievement of JCS students.
Objective(s): Students attending classes for a minimum of 30 days will exhibit a 2 1/2% increase in reading and language arts mastery as measured by teacher assessment data.
Goal 2 Students will improve their performance in mathematics.
Objective(s): Students who have attended a minimum of 30 days instruction will show a 2 1/2% increase in mathematics proficiency as measured by teacher assessment data.
Goal 3 Students will improve their behavior and their ability to solve conflicts.
Objective(s): Students will improve their behavior and their ability to solve conflicts as measured by teacher maintained data, including referral data, anecdotal records and portfolios.
