The mission of Legacy High School is to provide students with educational enrichment through an understanding and appreciation of being academically motivated, culturally diverse, technologically sound, and socially respectful members of a global society. |

Legacy High School is a global studies school focused on providing students with academic and social opportunities necessary to be successful in a global society.- The Legacy DECA team is proud to have two state officers and had ten team members qualify for State and Nationals.
- Legacy's student council earned the National Gold Council of Excellence Award, the Southern Star Award, and Blue Star Award.
- Legacy is a 21st Century School. Legacy students take more rigorous course requirements than mandated by the state.
- Legacy's boys' soccer team won the State Soccer Championship, the first state title in the history of the school.
- Legacy High School's senior class earned $3,000,000 in scholarships.
- Legacy High School had one athlete win an individual State Title in Track and Field in two different events.
- Legacy's orchestra ensemble won $8,000 and the guitar ensemble won $3,000 in the Notes to Grow Competition.
- Legacy has 135 juniors participating in the Gear Up program, a program that offers scholarship money to qualifying students.
- Legacy offers AVID in an effort to support and prepare under-served students in their goal to attend and complete college.

Goals and Objectives |
Goal 1 Legacy HS will successfully meet AYP requirements for each of the eight subgroups in ELA as determined by the NHSPE.
Objective(s): Target English and math instruction for the non-proficient White, Asian/Pacific Islander, Hispanic/Latino, Black/African American, IEP, LEP, and FRL subgroups to reach the proficiency rate of 86.7% (English)and 71.3%(math)on the spring 2011 administration of the NHSPE.
Goal 2 Legacy High School will successfully increase the number of first-time test takers who pass the NHSPE in science.
Objective(s): Target science instruction for first-time test takers to reach the proficiency rate of 52.1% on the spring 2011 administration of the Nevada High School Proficiency Exam in science.
