The Southwest Career and Technical Academy continues to enjoy great success during our second year of existence. The Southwest CTA students have excelled in academic and extracurricular pursuits.- The Southwest CTA DECA organization sent over 30 students to the national competition in Orlando, Florida.
- The Southwest CTA FCCLA organization sent nine students to the national competition in Anaheim, California.
- The Southwest CTA Student Council won the Southern Star award for community service and school involvement.
- 100% of the Southwest CTA sophomores participated in the March proficiency exams.
- The Southwest CTA archery team won their second consecutive state championship.
- Students participated in fall and spring Project-Based Learning workshops.
- The Southwest CTA HOSA student organization had 60 students participate in the state competition.
- The Southwest CTA formed multiple community partnerships with local organizations and businesses.
- Entertainment Engineering students constructed a new playground at Rose Warren Elementary School.

Goals and Objectives |
Goal 1 The Southwest Career and Technical Academy will raise the pass score in the area of science.
Objective(s): The Southwest Career and Technical Academy will score an 85% pass rate on the NHSPE science exam.
Goal 2 Students in all subgroups will meet the state-identified pass rate in the areas of math and English language arts(ELA).
Objective(s): Students in all subgroups will meet the 71.3% NHSPE goal in the area of math. Students in all subgroups will meet the 86.7% NHSPE goal in the area of ELA.
