The Veterans Tribute Career & Technical Academy community commits to a rigorous and relevant learning environment that empowers and engages students through collaborative problem solving, emphasizing respectful and responsible relationships, while honoring those who have served before us. |

Veterans Tribute Career and Technical Academy currently serves approximately 600 students from across the Las Vegas Valley. Our mission is to provide quality instruction and prepare future heroes.- VTCTA is proud to have made Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) for the 2009-2010 academic school year.
- VTCTA has implemented the "Promoting Fitness Through Athletics" program to teach students sportsmanship and citizenship.
- VTCTA partnered with Mix 94.1 to host the 2nd Annual Shoots and Ladders Dodgeball tournament to benefit VTCTA students.
- VTCTA has partnered with Channel 8 to host Straight A Breakfasts to honor students that have earned all A's for the semester.
- VTCTA's Master Lecture Series continues to host local community members to educate students on relevant city/ state issues.
- Students are expected to complete 25 community service hours each year, and parents are encouraged to volunteer 15 hours.
- Students enrolled in Student Council (Leadership) received the Silver Star Award for the 2010-2011 academic school year.
- At the 2011 DECA State Competition, four VTCTA students received top ten finishes with one student qualifying for nationals.
- At the 2011 Skills USA State Competition, five VTCTA students earned three silver and two bronze medals.

Goals and Objectives |
Goal 1 Students will improve their achievement on the Nevada High School Proficiency Exam (NHSPE) in mathematics and science.
Objective(s): Students in grade 11 will achieve the mathematics target of 71.3% as measured by the March 2011 Nevada High School Proficiency Exam (NHSPE).
Goal 2 Students will improve their grades in mathematics.
Objective(s): Decrease the high school D/F rate by six percentage points for the 2010-2011 school in the following classes: Algebra I (from 37.9% to 31.9%), Geometry (from 44% to 38%) and Algebra II (from 52.4% to 46.4%).
