Mission Statement
The mission of Mojave High School, a College Preparatory Academy, is to provide a safe learning environment that promotes achievement and empowers students to strive for excellence and to develop respect, pride, and lifelong learning skills.

Mojave High School continues to strive to promote excellence and ensure the success of all students through implementation of personalization, college readiness, and content literacy.
  • Professional development focused on Culturally Conscious Instructional Strategies to promote school climate.
  • Mojave High School is proud to announce the operation of the ARMYJrROTC Rattler Battalion with more than 100 cadets enrolled.
  • Mojave's faculty worked in Professional Learning Communities to create common assessments and continuity in instruction.
  • Mojave High School utilized Advanced Academics and Compass Learning online classes as credit retrieval options for students.
  • English teachers received training in Analytical Trait Scoring to effectively assess students' writing samples.
  • Mojave High School's average daily attendance increased to 91.2%.
  • Mojave High School received an additional $25,000 donation from CITI Foundation to support the school's CREST program.

Goals and Objectives
Goal 1
Provide a safe, positive, and caring learning environment

Objective(s):
By the end of the 2010-2011 school year, student surveys will indicate that at least 70% of students will agree the school fosters kindness and caring, that they are treated fairly by the school, and that most instructional staff articulate high expectations for all students.

Goal 2
Increase the effectiveness of Tier I instruction school-wide

Objective(s):
By the end of the 2010-2011 school year, 70% of instruction will be based on appropriate grade/course level standards-based curriculum, and at least 75% of teachers will implement the Components of an Effective Lesson, and will utilize scaffolding and student collaboration.
