The faculty and staff of Cheyenne HS are proud of our efforts to sustain our Small Learning Communities, which has allowed us to better promote achievement and focus on classroom instruction.- Annual Yearly Progress (AYP) was achieved by the school.
- Average Daily Attendance rate above 90% was maintained.
- Capturing Kid's Hearts program was implemented campus-wide.
- Reading skills greatly increased (based on results of the Nevada High School Proficiency Exam in reading).
- The Jr. Army ROTC program, in its second year, is the largest ROTC program in Las Vegas.
- After-school tutoring opportunities, along with transportation, was offered to all students.
- Increased classroom technology opportunites were provided for students.
- There were reduced disciplinary events.
- A professional relationship with MGM provided many educational opportunities for students.

Goals and Objectives |
Goal 1
Students will show improvement in math and reading achievement.
Objective(s):
Students will meet the Percentage Above the Cut (PAC) target in all subgroups or show a minimum 10% decrease in non-proficient students in any group that does not meet the PAC on the NHSPE's in math, reading, and writing.
Goal 2
Cheyenne High School will show a reduction in student dropout rate.
Objective(s):
Student Average Daily Attendance, participation in the classroom, and participation on campus, will increase as positive relationships are developed among stakeholders.
