Success at Las Vegas High School is attributed to a partnership among exemplary teachers, dedicated support staff, involved parents/guardians, and enthusiastic students.- LVHS provided a daily guidance period and annomous Freshmen Academy to support the academic growth of students.
- LVHS students in the class of 2010 earned over $3,000,000 in scholarship monies.
- LVHS utilized weekly collaboration time to create/evaluate common assessments, analyze data, and discuss best practices.
- LVHS had 463 students take Advanced Placement (AP) exams in 11 different subjects.
- LVHS earned a Nevada state championship for a second year in wrestling and earned regional titles in multiple sports.
- LVHS offered seven different Career and Technical strands, where students earned college credit for courses completed.
- LVHS was awarded the Silver Award ($7,500) from the Nevada PIE Foundation in recognition of our inclusive practices.
- LVHS utilized state funds to provide credit retrieval in mathematics, social studies, and English.
- LVHS had over 550 students enrolled in choir, orchestra, and/or band, with multiple students being selected for All-State.

Goals and Objectives |
Goal 1 Teachers will deliver a differentiated, standards-based curriculum to all students.
Objective(s): As measured by high school proficiency exams (reading, writing, and math) all subgroups will achieve Safe Harbor or AYP in English language arts and mathematics for the 2010-2011 school year, and specialized teachers will use differentiation instruction at least 75% of the time.
