Students, staff, and community members work together to create a safe, positive, and academically challenging environment. The Mack team is committed to preparing all students for their future.- Students enrolled in the iPass math program improved their math grade level on average of 2 to 3 years.
- Students enrolled in the Read 180 program improved their reading level on average of 2 to 3 years.
- A 7% gain was made school-wide in the area of English language arts on the 2009-10 CRT's.
- Student Council raised over $900.00 for five separate charities and participated in community service events.
- Pathway Project grant gave students access to laptops and iPods for research and educational apps to enhance learning.
- Community nights and barbeques were held to enrich and enhance student/parent/school relationships.
- Band, orchestra, and choir received excellent and superior marks during CCSD festival performances.
- Numerous sports, clubs, and activities were provided for students to become involved in extra-curricular school events.
- The Maverick Book Club continued to be a success and expanded student access through purchase of 45 nooks for student use.

Goals and Objectives |
Goal 1 Students in grades 6, 7, and 8 will increase achievement in English language arts as measured by the 2011 Nevada CRT.
Objective(s): Between September 2010 and March 2011, academic performance in ELA for the IEP subgroup will increase from 18.34% to 29.00%. Between September 2010 and March 2011, academic performance in ELA for all students will increase from 56.58% to 67.00%.
Goal 2 Students in grades 6, 7, and 8 will increase achievement in mathematics as measured by the 2011 Nevada CRT.
Objective(s): Between September 2010 and March 2011 school-wide student performance on the Nevada CRT for mathematics will increase from 43.88% to the target of 65.9% or attain safe harbor.
