Students, staff, and community members work together to create a safe, positive, and academically challenging environment. The Cortney team is committed to preparing all students for their future.- All teachers participated in professional development through Title I AARA funds.
- Writing, reading, and math camps were held to assist struggling students.
- Mock writing exams were given throughout the school year in all grades to prepare students for the NV writing exam.
- Our Graduation Advocate Program (GAP) provided mentoring and guidance for students.
- Technology awarded through the Pathway Project, such as the iPod Touch, was used to support student learning.
- Family nights, including a barbeque, were held throughout the year and focused on literacy, math, science, and geography.
- Funding provided students with after-school tutoring and our community with bilingual support through our Family Assistant.
