Lied MS has established an environment where all students have the opportunity to be successful. Together, students and teachers work toward accomplishing school goals.- Ninety-five percent of Lied's teaching staff are recognized as Highly Qualified Teachers.
- Approximately 70% of school met or exceeded Adequate Yearly Progress targets.
- The Average Daily Attendance of both students and teachers was maintained at over 96%.
- Students with IEP's were included in the general education classes to ensure exposure to general education curriculum.
- Teachers were given specialized training to better address the needs of students with IEP's in the co-taught classroom.
- Targeted students were given an opportunity to work in a smaller classroom setting to increase their achievement.
- Teachers were given training to address the needs of all students with the implementation of differentiated instruction.
- Pathway grant, interactive whiteboard technology and creation of classroom mini-labs supported student achievement.
- Students participated in quarterly goal setting, progress charting and data analysis to understand their assessments.

Goals and Objectives |
Goal 1 Analyze student data to identify skill deficits in order to implement instructional practices that meet students' needs.
Objective(s): By the end of the 2010-2011 school year, FOSL walks will evidence an increase in the implementation of the Components of an Effective Lesson from 50%-70% to at least 75%. Additionally, AYP results will reflect a reduction of 10% in non-proficient students in mathematics and ELA in all subgroups.
