West Preparatory School is proud to highlight the following achievements. West Prep is the only K-12 school in the metropolitan Las Vegas area.- The high school division of the school achieved Annual Yearly Progress during the 2009-10 school year.
- French was offered as a daily class to students in the primary grades (K-2) of the school.
- West Prep's inaugural graduation was held in June 2010.
- The high school component of the school showed a .03% dropout rate, well below the district average.
- Third semester continued to assist students (K-12) with remediation and enrichment.
- West Prep was selected as a Nevada Highlighted School for the 2011 Nevada Department of Education Mega-Conference.
- SAT and AP examination participation increased by 150% when comparing the 2009-10 and 2010-2011 school years.
- The Arts and Humanities School at West Prep began a daily news broadcast called the WPA News.
- The school-within-a-school concept was fully implemented in the sixth, seventh, and eighth grades for the 2010-2011 year.

Goals and Objectives |
Goal 1 Teachers will engage in ongoing collaboration to improve instructional practice, assessment design, and use of data.
Objective(s): Student achievement will result in a 10% decrease of non-proficient students in all subgroups as compared to the 2009-10 AYP results. NCCAT survey results will increase from the 2009-10 to 2010-11 on the following NCCAT indicators (1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.5, 2.1, and 2.2).
Goal 2 School leadership will establish a consistent and systematic process to communicate, monitor, and evaluate staff.
Objective(s): Student achievement will result in a 10% decrease of non-proficient students in all subgroups as compared to the 2009-10 AYP results. NCCAT survey results will increase from the 2009-10 to 2010-11 on the following NCCAT indicators (3.3 and 3.4).
