Mission Statement |
|
The mission of Laughlin Jr/Sr High School is to prepare students to be socially responsible citizens who have the knowledge and skills to effectively communicate and make informed decisions. |

The dropout rate for 2009-10 of 2.5 was below the district and state average for the eighth consecutive year.- The class of 2012 scored higher on the NHSPE than the district and ASC 2 in math, reading, and science.
- A high school credit retrieval program was offered through CCSD to allow students to raise their GPA's and graduate on time.
- The school choir and band received Excellent/Superior ratings at the 13th Annual LHS Music Festival.
- Students who participated in cross country/wrestling/track and field received district and state honors and awards.
- A 21st Century Community Learning grant provided after-school academic and enrichment programs.
- Student clubs included Science Bowl, Automotive, We the People, Varsity Quiz Bowl, Guitar Club, Key Club, and others.

Goals and Objectives |
Goal 1 LHS/MS students will increase by 10% the number of students who perform at the Meet/Exceeds level in mathematics.
Objective(s): 50% or more of the IEP subgroup will perform at/or above the proficient level on the NHSPE/CRT.
Goal 2 Teachers will use research-based strategies and integrate technology into the ELA curriculum to increase achievement.
Objective(s): All students will increase their reading achievement scores by 5% on the NHSPE/CRT.
