Orr Middle School offers students the latest in technology. Each classroom is equipped with a SmartBoard, Elmo, computers and a variety of other tools to enhance learning.- Orr had the largest secondary after-school program in CCSD. Students received extra tutoring and participated in activities.
- Accelerated classes offered students the opportunity to challenge themselves with a more advanced curriculum.
- Orr was in the top 5 percent of all schools for satisfaction with students, parents and teachers the past five years.
- Title I funding allowed for smaller class sizes, free tutoring and many additional opportunities for students.
- The staff at Orr MS included several award winning teachers including the Milken Foundation Teacher of the Year.
- PAYBAC, a community-based program that enlists professionals from a variety of occupations, shared lessons in life.
- Peace Week promoted nonviolence and a platform for peaceful solutions to conflicts.
- Orr's diverse population helped our students experience a wide variety of multicultural opportunities.
- The After-School All Stars provided after-school activities and sponsored multiple field trips.

Goals and Objectives |
Goal 1 The percentage of 8th graders scoring proficient will increase to 50.5%. Reading and math scores will increase by 10%.
Objective(s): The percentage of 8th graders scoring proficient in writing will increase by a minimum of 10% on the CRT test. Reading and math scores will increase by 10% among Hispanic, African-American, IEP, and LEP students.
Goal 2 Assessment data tracking reflection logs will be maintained by 90% of the teaching staff and all students in each class.
Objective(s): Student and teacher assessment data tracking systems will be adopted for each student in each class and will maintain a 90% success rate as measured by teacher and student surveys as well as administrative observations.
