Mission Statement
Defined by educational excellence, the Andre Agassi College Preparatory Academy (AACPA), a K-12 public charter school, maximizes the potential of every learner. As a center of strength, Agassi Prep provides an array of choices and opportunities to underserved communities. By harnessing the talents of gifted educational entrepreneurs, the school works to produce inspired, creative, ethical, compassionate, and reflective leaders who offer solutions to the problems posed by a democratic society.
 
Highlights
Andre Agassi College Preparatory Academy strives to establish an educational environment where students are prepared academically and socially to compete at an international level.
  • The high school AVID (Advancement Via Individual Determination) cohort expanded to include 9th, 10th, and 11th graders.
  • 15 of our 10th and 11th graders plan to attend summer academic programs at universities across the U.S.
  • The Spanish department has expanded to include all students in grades 2nd through 12th.
  • Elementary math instruction has been accelerated by one grade level for all students in kindergarten through 3rd grade.
  • Our 5th grade students will spend their Spring Break visiting colleges and universities in Atlanta, GA.
 
Goals and Objectives
Goal 1
Students in grades 3 through 8 and grade 10 will increase their proficiency levels on the 2010 Math CRT / HSP exams.

Objective(s):
All students in grades 4 through 8 and grade 10 will increase their achievement on the 2010 math CRT exam by at least one performance level (or remain at the "Exceeds" level). At least 85% of grade 3 students will "Meet/Exceed" grade-level standards on the 2010 math CRT.

Goal 2
Students in grades 3 through 8 and grade 10 will increase their proficiency levels on the 2010 Reading CRT / HSP exams.

Objective(s):
All students in grades 4 through 8 and grade 10 will increase their achievement on the 2010 reading CRT exam by at least one performance level (or remain at the "Exceeds" level). At least 80% of grade 3 students will "Meet/Exceed" grade-level standards on the 2010 reading CRT.

Goal 3
Students in grades 5, 8, and 10 will increase their proficiency levels on the 2010 science CRT / HSP exams.

Objective(s):
The 5th, 8th, and 10th grade cohorts will increase the percentage of students at the "Meets/Exceeds" level from 53% to 60%, 30% to 60%, and 66% to 75% respectively.
