Ruth Fyfe Empowerment School is committed to excellence in academics and continuous improvement. We are proud of the following achievements at our school:- Ruth Fyfe achieved Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) according to the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) for the past four years.
- On the state test (CRT), the school as a whole scored in the 89% or higher range in mathematics.
- Fyfe maintained an 8% increase in the number of students proficient in mathematics on the state CRT test in 2010.
- Fyfe maintained a 6% increase in the number of students proficient in reading on the state CRT test in 2010.
- Ruth Fyfe was selected to be an Empowerment School for 2010-2011, a governor's initiative for only 30 schools district-wide.
- Ruth Fyfe Empowerment community successfully adopted Standard Student Attire for 2010-2015.
- Title I federal funding provided Fyfe an additional 2 teachers (1 kindergarten, 1 fourth grade) to reduce class size.
- Title I federal funding provided Fyfe with a Reading/Writing Strategist position to assist struggling readers and writers.
- Ruth Fyfe implemented the Reading Rocks! program in which all students would be rewarded for improvement in daily literacy.

Goals and Objectives |
Goal 1 All students in grades K-5 will receive high quality, daily writing instruction utilizing the "Being a Writer" program.
Objective(s): A minimum of 85% of all students (K-5) will meet grade-level writing expectations as measured by state scorers, mock writing assessments, and the NV 5th grade Writing Proficiency Exam.
Goal 2 Students in grades 3-5 will meet or exceed district standards for reading on the Nevada CRT test.
Objective(s): A minimum of 76% of all students in grades 3-5 will meet or exceed standards for the Nevada CRT test in reading.
Goal 3 Students in grades 3-5 will meet or exceed district standards for mathematics on the Nevada CRT test.
Objective(s): A minimum of 76% of all students in grades 3-5 will meet or exceed standards for the Nevada CRT test in mathematics.
