Red Rock Elementary School strives to build a strong educational foundation to provide a safe environment, promote learning, and demonstrate respect for self, school, and community. |

Red Rock Elementary School was "Racing to Reach Our Goals" during the 2010-2011 school year. Students and staff members worked diligently to maintain a high level of academic excellence.- Title I/ARRA funds were used to provide focused, individualized classes for students by hiring a learning interventionist.
- Title I/ARRA funds were used to reduce class sizes in first and fourth grades by hiring additional teachers.
- Red Rock ES worked together with a community partner to provide festivals each trimester including a fifth grade celebration.
- Family Nights were held throughout the year to share activities in science, literacy, and math and to showcase student work.
- After-school tutoring classes used the computer programs Fast ForWord, Study Island, Ticket to Read, and Lexia.
- Daily tutoring was provided to students and parents in the Parent Center, and monthly parent workshops supported families.
- Teachers monitored student progress on a regular basis by implementing a formalized Response to Instruction (RTI) program.
- Red Rock Club, Rock Star, and Student of the Month provided incentives for responsible behavior and academic success.
- Trimester awards assemblies recognized students for attendance, citizenship, and academics.

Goals and Objectives |
Goal 1 Increase achievement in ELA and math by utilizing research-based strategies to improve instruction and lesson delivery.
Objective(s): Students in grades 3, 4, and 5 will achieve the mathematics target of 65.9% and the reading target of 63.8% or attain Safe Harbor as measured by the 2011 CRT; students in grade 5 will achieve the writing target of 12 or attain Safe Harbor, as measured by the 2011 Nevada Writing Assessment.
Goal 2 Utilize effective progress monitoring and provide meaningful feedback to students to increase student achievement.
Objective(s): Reduce the number of Tier III Intervention Plans by 5% (from 23 plans to 22 plans), when comparing May 2010 to May 2011. Students will increase achievement by 3% on interim assessments in math and reading.
