Mission Statement |
|
The Ullom Elementary School Community, working collaboratively, will provide a safe, student-centered environment where all learners will reach their academic potential and become responsible citizens. |
|
|
Ullom Elementary School, working collaboratively as a PLC, analyzed data, created interventions and refined strategies to meet the needs of all students resulting in a "High Achieving" status.- Reading intervention was provided to every student who did not meet bench mark goals in literacy.
- Family Nights included parent seminars, provided students with take-home materials and enhanced parent-teacher communication.
- Struggling readers made significant gains through participation in small, flexible intervention groups and Voyager Passport.
- School-wide incentive programs recognized academic excellence, positive attendance and responsible student behavior.
- To better prepare students for middle school, fourth and fifth grades were departmentalized into core subjects.
- Classroom teachers enhanced student engagement through the use of modern technology using SmartBoards.
- The Reading is Fundamental (RIF) program provided students with many books for their personal libraries.
