Mission Statement
The vision of E.W. Griffith Elementary School is the achievement of all students to their greatest potential through high expectations, instructional excellence, engagement, and a supportive community.

Highlights
The E.W. Griffith community works together to meet the academic need of our students. Educational practices are research-based and implemented to promote student achievement.
  • School-wide adoption of Kagan Cooperative Learning, Explicit Phonics, and enVision Math enhanced student achievement.
  • Pre-kindergarten and full-day kindergarten ensured an advantageous beginning for our students, at no cost to families.
  • Monthly school-wide mock writing prompts were implemented and scored using the Nevada Writing Proficiency Exam as a model.
  • Fast-ForWord, a brain-based research program, was implemented for students K-5.
  • Nevada Reading Week included week-long activities that promoted literacy throughout the school and community.
  • Students were recognized monthly during an award assembly for their Accelerated Reader and citizenship achievements.
  • The honor choir performed at a Wranglers game, Opportunity Village, the Orff Festival, and Winter Concert.
  • The P.T.O. supported school-wide events, such as the CRT BBQ, Nevada Day festivities, and Fine Arts Family Night.
  • The "Be Kind" program, through the Josh Stevens Foundation, was implemented to promote school-wide character education.
