Snyder Superstars are committed to academic excellence for all children. Achievement is not a place, it is a belief!- As part of a healthy lifestyle grant received, students were exposed to a variety of fruits and vegetables daily.
- Students in grades K-5 were exposed to various programs on the computer and created multimedia projects.
- Students participated in the Mighty Milers Walking program that promoted healthy behaviors with Mr. Snyder, namesake.
- Students in grades 3-5 met to discuss and plan student-oriented functions and community services.
- Over 350 students participated in after-school and Saturday tutoring programs monthly!
- Snyder ES made Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) in mathematics in all student subgroups.
- Inclusive Schools practices were followed when appropriate to promote inclusion for all special education students.
- A Response To Instruction assistance program promoted regular monitoring of struggling students in reading and math fluency.
- Kindergarten students received full-day instruction, including art, music, library, and physical education.

Goals and Objectives |
Goal 1 Snyder ES will continue to focus on supplementing an effective literacy program that will improve reading comprehension.
Objective(s): The percentage of proficient students in the entire testing population will increase to 64%, as measured by the Nevada 2011 English language arts Criterion Referenced Test (CRT).
Goal 2 Students will show an increase in achievement in their math scores on the CRT in the spring of 2011.
Objective(s): The percentage of proficient students in the entire testing population will be at least 75%, as measured by the Nevada 2011 math CRT.
